A cover system is present in the game which is essential with the improved and innovative AI that this game has. There is also a Consequence System present in the game which is a major part of this game. Story mode depends on the trust that the squad members show on you, it depends on the how you perform during battles and how you treat the team members. The trust issues are important as they will change the story as well as gameplay, you can see this during the game when the team members behave differently depending upon the trust they have in you. Binary Domain gives you a unique new option to give commands to your team members i.e. voice command. The game can understand 6 languages which include English and Japanese. A headset can be used to give commands to the players of the AI team. There is also the option to give commands by pressing buttons like other squad based games but the voice command system is something that makes them game differs from other such games.  The creator wanted to bring a more real experience to the game’s action moments by allowing you to command your team with barking commands at them rather than pressing buttons and showing them what to do all the time. The story of the game starts in the early 21st century where due to global warming the entire earth is flooded with water and there is very little amount of land remaining for the humans to live on. This forces the governments of the world to build cities on water above the old cities ruins that are now under water. As the floods took lives of millions of people the labor used to build the cities was from robots. A company named Bergen from America came out on top of every other company to dominate the robotic development world, which in turn made America a super power in this new world. To continue the story of the game, the Amada Corporation located in Japan sued Bergen for stealing technology from them but as Bergen was a too powerful company by now and the case failed to have any effect and the verdict was given in Bergen’s favor. In the year 2040 due the growing concern of the world a New Geneva Convention with new rules is passed. The clause 21 of the new rules which refer to the creation of robots which resemble the humans in every form called ‘Hollow Children’ is banned. A new team called ‘Rust Crews’ was created to oversee the application of these new rules was done properly and there was no breach of the same. @speedbreaker
      Use BinaryDomainConfiguration.exe from install folder!

  13. Pirinolli says:

The game works flawlessly and it saves the graphics settings for me too with Windows 7 x64 using the configuration tool (BinaryDomainConfiguration.exe) in the game directory which everyone must run before the game will load (it does remind you if you forget to run it). Ensure that your user account is an administrator of the PC as well as running the application as an administrator as I suspect it’s still a permissions problem. I’m sorry I can’t assist further since I cannot replicate the problem.

many thx,wil give it a try!

  23. numpty says:

The game works fine, graphics are actually quite good etc. What people these days dont seem to do is bother to install the extra DirectX, VCredist etc contained in Redist folder, this solves ALOT of issues. Running the game as admin, does seem to cure some very occasional lockups. Also…and will proberbly get a quick bite off dobie for this!, try as in most cases actually blocking the game with your AV from the net. This should be obvious these days…
As for the configurator note if your playing with KB/Mouse only there is a option in config to show kb keys instead of xbox controller keys. Just look!.
PS. The voice commands are a little shakey and can be turned off if like me the game refuses to understand simple commands even after changed!

    SIMPLES!!!

Great game. Actually has a story ( even if we have seen it before and is not that special ) compared to some other games. Guess some people can’t appreciate the hard work that has gone into this. It feels like a good Japanese robot/cybertech flick and that’s a nice thing.

    My opinion of the game:

Story 7,5 – not original, but mostly well written, characters are somewhat predictable and typically tailored to american action heroes, but hey, it works out nicely if you want to save the world from destruction. Because that’s what americans do apparently.

Graphics 7,8 – not bad at all, looks better then mass effect 3..
they actually used hi-res surfaces and bitmaps. shame on you bioware..

Gameplay 7,5 – sluggish controls, but they work nicely if you get the hang of it. ( tip: put it on keyboard layout in the config screen )

Audio-Voice acting: 8,5 – they actually speak japanese in this game, not some dubbing redneck language. Which is a good thing, dubbing is for peasants and barbarians even if it is done well. English is not holy and infallible and sometimes does not work out translating and conveying the right emotions to the audience. So +1 for staying original!

    verdict: above mediocre, slightly good

It ticks alot of positive boxes, seriously can’t understand the negative remarks. It’s nothing fancy, but still quite a rush and exciting to play! Shooting the heck out of robots is fun even if does not require more then 1% of my brain capacity, lol. Just follow rush and the ‘movie’.

Sigh, oh well everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
